The Melbourne Cricket Ground Pitch Report

Though players and spectators alike drew fire for the wearing of the pitch and low bouncing surfaces, the MCG has generally enabled well-balanced matches between bat and ball. The 22-yards at the MCG is considered one of the most competitive pitches in the world. While the bowlers get it quickly with natural bounces, the batters can play their strokes freely as it gets old. However, generally, the spinners do not get much at the MCG. Since 1996, MCG has been host to the drop-in pitches. The MCG will host six matches during the Super 12 phase in the tournament, including two exciting double-headers and featuring the two biggest rivalries in world cricket, plus the tournament’s Final on Sunday November 13.

Melbourne Cricket Ground Betting Tips & Odds For ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022

The MCG pitch is known to offer a good balance between bat and ball and has constant bounce. Though this hasn’t been the case with the pitch in the 80s. It was then dreaded and also known as the country's worst due to its unpredictable bounce. This was the case until the drop-in pitches came into use.

Thus, if we have to talk about MCG stadium's World Cup betting tips for the upcoming Men's ICC T20 World Cup 2022, we predict that the teams will have to struggle to score big totals here. Though we expect a decent batting surface, the pacers would gain an edge from the pitch during the initial overs. The spinners would then come into play during the middle overs, and all teams need to perform well in all the disciplines to make a decent total. It is unlikely that the score would surpass above 190.
