Did you know?

Bellerive Oval stadium was the venue of a test match between Australia and Pakistan in 1999, which showed the cricketing world what Adam Gilchrist was capable of. Pakistan set a stiff target of 369 runs in the game and was well ahead, as the Aussies kept losing wickets. Michael Slater, Mark Waugh, Steve Waugh, and Ricky Ponting got out cheaply. Then, Adam Gilchrist walked in to join Justin Langer. Gilchrist and Langer chased an impossible-seeming fourth-innings target. Gilchrist, in particular, was ruthless, as he kept hitting Pakistani bowlers all over the park.
